On the First day of Christmas....

When I was little, we had an advent calendar that hung on the wall in our kitchen. The top had a fabric Christmas tree, and every day I got to remove one of the tiny ornaments from the numbers at the bottom, and hang it on the tree. It was a simple tradition, but I loved it, and couldn't wait to update it each morning. I could feel the excitement building as Christmas get closer and closer....So, with that in mind, I thought it'd be fun to carry this tradition on in a new way. Introducing, the Bowdenisms advent calendar!


Each day will feature an activity idea to help you (and me) embrace the season. Visit regularly and click on the date to reveal that day's surprise.

    I so excite! Everyday Bowdenism in December too!!!! Yippee. And the good news is that I actually put up some of our outdoor lights today. So Day One of the Bowden advent calendar is in the books. Sweet. I'm treating myself to ice cream.

    Oh my heavenly stars Courtney! I love it. Tell all. DId you design it on your own. How can I have one? I'm working on another advent post myself----IF I CAN EVER GET OUT OF COMPUTER PURGATORY! I'm been having a couple days of technical difficulties---sorry. And so nice to meet you too. Your email made me laugh out loud. Can't wait to follow your 'days'.

    You're sweet Edie.....I designed it, but part of the pattern is from this month's Martha Stewart, always love that! For all the sayings-I just made up some fun stuff. Stay tuned for more! :)
