Merry Christmas!

After nearly a month of hustling and bustling with holiday preparations and activities, Christmas finally arrived. We had a wonderful holiday enjoying the insanely warm weather and relaxing at home with family. The kids are off "school" for two weeks, and halfway into the break they've only managed to drive us half crazy. Meanwhile, the baby somehow forgot what sleep is...and subsequently learned what being a crankapotamus is. So. There's that.

In the last week I've taken 1 billion photos and eaten at least 7lbs of ham, and show no signs of slowing down in either avenue. (Related news- I plan to keep the decorations up as long as possible. Christmas forever!) The kids loved their presents, and are on a steady diet of Pez + "M&O's".

We've got a wide open week ahead (minus some work for me, due to using up all my vacation days this summer) and are starting to look forward to what adventures might await in 2016.

I'd love to share the full story of our holiday this year...I've got weeks of photos to edit, and some writing that's swirling around in my head. But I've also got a baby to feed, and some girls begging to do bathtub finger painting...

So basically, Christmas was a whole lot like our life in general these days: slow, loud, ordinary, fun, exhausting, pretty, messy, challenging and sweet. But with twinkle lights mixed in.
Magical.

Merry Christmas!
