Little Pip-speaks: Volume 23

http://bowdenisms.blogspot.com/search/label/little%20pip-speaks

Yeah...another one of these posts. You either love these...or you stopped reading here a long time ago. :)
I make no apologies: kids are funny. Especially mine.

Pip-speak #1:
Piper {after bed time}: Mama...um...I forgot what i was going to tell you. I'll think about it when I sleep.

Pip-speak #2:
Fin: Is that my dentist?
Piper: You don't even have a dentist. You'll go when you're older.
Fin: I two-and-a-half?
Piper: Yeah and two-and-a half kids don't even go to the dentist.
Fin: Oh.
Piper: And you don't even know what a dentist does anyways. You have a long ways to learn about that.

Pip-speak #3:
Fin: Piper, please hand me my Jelly.
Piper: It was kind of whiny Fin, but I'll take it.

Pip-speak #4:
Piper {building with blocks}: Mom, I'll call you when my imagination is done.

Pip-speak #5:
Mama: Hey Pipes, what are some things you're good at?
Piper: {pause} I'm thinking... {pause} OH! I got it. I'm good at climbing.
Mama: Yeah? Where do you practice climbing?
Piper: At the playground. But I don't practice. I just do it.

Pip-speak #6:
Piper: It would be more fun if she wouldn't yell so much. It would be more fun if she didn't fight over toys.
Mama: So Fin's the problem?
Piper: Yes! {long pause} And.....me.

Pip-speak #7:
Piper: Ew, Fin. Don't spit!
Fin: One time Daddy spit.
Piper: It's OK to spit when Mommy says something funny at Taco Bell.

Pip-speak #8:
G'mi {after both girls got into a bit of trouble at her house}:  We're not going to tell Mommy and Daddy. We took care of it here, it's over.
Fin: I want to tell mama and daddy.
Piper {very sternly}: I think that is a very bad idea Fin.

Pip-speak #9:
Mama: I'm so lucky to have you.
Piper: Why?
Mama: Because God picked you to be my daughter. I think he knew we'd be perfect for each other.
Piper: Yes. We are perfect for each other. And Fin is perfect for daddy.

Pip-speak #10:
Mama: You really like to make pictures for people don't you? What do you like about it?
Piper: I just like to make people happy. I'm a happy people maker.

-------------------------------------------
And not to be outdone by her chatterbox sister, Fin gets in on the action:

Finnish #1:
Mama: Spring is warm and Summer is hot.
Fin: Yeah, we can't touch summer.

Finnish #2:
Fin: I can't help you, Piper. I don't have enough hands.

Finnish #3:
Piper: I'm gonna have a hard job when I grow up. I'm gonna be a doctor.
Mama: What kind? A doctor of kids? Or grown-ups? Or animals?
Piper: Animals. I'm going to be a veterinarian.
Fin: I gonna be a....cheetah. In school!
Mama: You mean you want to work with cheetahs? Like, teach them things?
Fin: Yeah. I gonna teach 'em to run.
Piper: Cheetahs can bite you you know.
Fin: I gonna be a polar bear instead. I be in a cave.

Finnish #4:
Piper {hearing a blowfish in The Little Mermaid song}: That sounded like someone tooted!
Fin: Sounded like daddy!

  1. I love these posts! And not just because your kids are hilarious (though they are). But I love the glimpse it gives into your family life. These quotes sure what your family us about... You enjoy each other, you laugh with each other (and occasionally at each other when the situation warrants it), you encourage each other, and so much more! I just love these posts! Don't stop!!

(Also, these posts will be priceless when they're teens.)

    1. They show what your family is about. Not "sure". I should proofread before posting.
