It's no secret around here: I love dessert, I love a project and I LOVE a holiday theme. So with Valentine's day approaching, of course I wanted to make some sort of yummy treat. But after I got myself in a little too deep with this Christmas' recipe project I was looking for something a bit simpler. So I was thrilled when I found a recipe for Pie Pops, on my favorite site for sweet treats: Bakerella.

we'll pretend for a moment that mine turned out this perfect.
I followed her directions, and it really was "easy as pie" (especially after bribing Dustin to help....he will work for food.)
I used:
- 2 boxes of pie crust (4 crusts)
- a 2 1/4” circle cookie cutter
- not even an entire can of filling (I bought 3, because apparently my eyes were WAY bigger than my stomach.)
My version made about 32 pie pops. I had decided I wanted to share my creations with my co-workers, so naturally I had to gussy them up a bit. After they cooled, I wrapped them in tiny baggies, and tied them with ribbon. Each one got a mini-card with a personal v-day message....
Almost too pretty to eat (if I do say so myself). Happy Valentine's Day!
I wish I lived close enough to benefit from these...
ReplyDeleteYou're the bestest!!! Too cute. Maybe someday, I'll attempt such a feat. For now, I'm happy to live close enough to benefit...
